Make a beautiful kaleidoscope out of stained glass using a Kaleidoscope Oil Wand Kit in this two session class. Stained Glass Foil method experience is required. Please bring glass cutting tools to the first class.

Colour-de-Verre Fused Boxes
Colour de Verre produces reusable glass-casting molds that merges the age-old art of glass casting with modern technology and contemporary design, You will pre-select a lidded box mold (yours to keep) and learn how to prime your mold, fill it with sheet glass, handmade frit and any size manufactured frit.

Copper Enameling for Beginners
This class introduces you to the exciting and ancient art of copper enameling: firing powdered
glass onto copper. You will make a pendant or other shape (butterflies, frogs, bats) and a pair of earrings during this class. You will learn to kiln fire the copper enamel pieces along with finishing techniques.  This technique can also be used on Precious Metal Clay fine silver pieces. Maximum 5 students.

Kaleidoscope Kollage (Not Currently Scheduled)
This class will utilize the use of the Morton's Portable Glass Shop and Decorative Soldering while completing a very unique piece which will include bevels, nuggets, and decorative wire. If you have never seen the Morton Portable Glass Shop system in action, you will amazed by what you will be able to accomplish with this tool. Strip cutting for borders, cutting diamonds, squares, triangles--all a breeze and perfect every time with the Morton Portable Glass Shop! Bring your Morton Portable Glass Shop if you want and we will show you how to maximize its potential. Or, use our system for the first class. Prerequisite:   Glass Cutting Skills  Bring all cutting and soldering tools.

Beginner Stained Glass - Lead Construction
Lead came is the construction choice of professionals. Learn valuable pattern layout, glass cutting, assembly and finishing techniques in this five week class. We have a selection of glass patterns from which to choose, assuring you are able to finish your project within the five week class. United Art Glass students receive 10% off all tools and supplies for this class. Minimum 4 students, maximum 8 students.

UFO - Unfinished Objects (Not Currently Scheduled)
Need help with those unfinished projects sitting on your work bench?  Need motivation?  We are here to help.  Join us for a relaxing day to help you through some difficult aspects of your project or just the motivation to finish that project combined with camaraderie from other fellow hobbyists.  An instructor will be available to help you accomplish your goal.  Minimum 2 hours help, maximum 4 hours help.

Bevel Lead Window
Here's an intensive three day crash course in lead construction - or just a quick review for those of you that are just getting back into stained glass. In this class, you will construct a Tulip style beveled glass window using the lead technique and complete this panel in the three day class. Bring soldering equipment and leading tools. If you just want to try out stained glass, you can borrow our tools during the class. Includes Tulip Beveled Window kit and supplies needed to complete the window. Minimum 4 students, maximum 8 students.

Panel Lampshade (Not Currently Scheduled)
Adding the warm glow of romance to any room is easy with this elegant stained glass lamp! Join us for a special workshop where you will be guided step-by-step through the construction of this lamp shade. Learn many valuable assembly techniques that we use to build lamp shades of all sizes and complexities. Students will leave class with a completed project. Glass and supplies are extra.

Mosaic Madness
In this two session workshop you will learn techniques for direct mosaics using scrap glass, nuggets, glass tiles, adhesives and grout. Bring whatever you'd like to cover in glass - table, flower pots, bird house, etc. Tools and supplies are extra.

Create a beautiful stained glass kaleidoscope style windchime in one afternoon. This is the perfect class to see if you would like stained glass before investing in all the tools. No glass cutting experience necessary. Bring soldering and leading tools if you have them. If you don't have tools, you can use our tools for the day. Fees include windchime kit and supplies needed to complete the project. Minimum 4 students, maximum 8 students.

Stepping Stone (Not Currently Scheduled)
Create artistic mosaic stepping stones using glass and quick drying cement. In this class you will learn pattern preparation, mold preparation, cement mixing, pouring techniques and cleanup of the finished stone. Because we use quick drying cement, you will leave class with a completed stepping stone to display in your garden this spring. Mold and materials arre extra. You will need to select a pre-cut glass kit prior to class.

Stepping Stone Demo (Not Currently Scheduled)
Come in and get stoned! We'll show you how to create artistic mosaic stepping stones using glass and quick drying cement. There will be a drawing at the end of the demo for the finished stepping stone. Must be present to win!

Mosaic Windchime (Not Currently Scheduled)
This class will teach you all the skills to make a wind chime using Diamondcrete, a quick hardening cement. Nip up your scrap glass or cut shapes to create your mosaic wind chime in this 3 hour class. Materials are extra. Please bring your glass cutting tools.

Monarch Mirror (Not Currently Scheduled)
You’ll be thrilled at how quickly and easily you can make this colorful butterfly mirror. Learn special handling techniques to use when working with mirror. Get helpful tips and tricks to easily assemble three dimensional projects. Pattern pack and supplies are extra.

Box Column Lantern (Not Currently Scheduled)
Light up your home with this sleek art glass lantern. You will make a 4" x 14" four sided lantern, learn how to drill holes in glass, and wire the lantern to complete your project. The straight line designs are perfect for the beginner or someone looking for a quick lamp project. Beginner stained Glass or comparable expereince is a prerequisite. Minmum 4 students, maximum 8 students.

Morton Workshop (Not Currently Scheduled)
Learn how to use the Morton Portable Glass Shop to make perfectly straight borders or geometric pieces to include in your stained glass panels or for ease of cutting shapes for fusing. In this class you will make a 6" x 6" mosaic or fused glass piece (your choice). Glass not included. Glass cutting skills required. Plese bring your cutting tools.

Introduction to Precious Metal Clay (Not Currently Scheduled)
Learn to make fine silver jewelry from a certified PMC Instructor using Precious Metal Clay (PMC). PMC looks and acts like clay and can be stamped, molded, carved and formed into your own designs. That’s where the similarity to clay ends because once it is fired in a kiln it becomes 99% fine silver. You will also learn how to incorporate fused glass cabochons into the PMC to create stunning jewelry pieces. Tools and supplies are extra.

PMC Pendant (Not Currently Scheduled)
Learn to manipulate, refine and fire Precious Metal Clay from a Certified PMC Instructor by designing a pendant with a cubic zirconia stone. Class includes use of tools, paste, clay, cubic zirconia and one firing. Minimum 4 students, maximum 8 students.

PMC Organic Pendant (Not Currently Scheduled)
Capture the texture of a leaf or other organic item to make a one-of-a-kind pendant that is 99.9% fine silver after firing in a kiln. Class includes use of tools, clay, and necklace cord. Bring your own texture or use leaves we will have available during class. Great class for teeenagers. Minimum 4 students, maximum 8 students.

Fabulous Silver Leaf Earrings (Not Currently Scheduled)
Create two pair of earrings out of fresh leaves using Precious Metal Clay. Bring two medium and two small leaves. The leaves should be fresh and have distinct veining patterns that are raised. They should not be fuzzy or waxy. When picking leaves, keep the stem intact. Keep them fresh in water or moisten and place in a plastic bag. Bring wire wrapping tools to finish your earrrings. Minimum 4 students, maximum 8 students.

Advanced Fusing (Not Currently Scheduled)
Make multi-colored twisted cane using glass rods and dichroic glass in this fast paced one day class.  We will teach you about the tools, setup, layering of glass, and firing.  You will twist and pull two canes to the desired effect.  Once annealed, these can be fashioned into bracelets or other jewelry designs.  Minimum 4 students, maximum 6.

Etched Dichroic Pendants (Not Currently Scheduled)
Create beautiful cabochons using dichroic glass and etching cream that will take your jewelry to new heights. In this class you will make 3 pendants that will be ready for pickup the following Tuesday. Minimum 4 students, maximum 8 students. Please bring your glass cutting tools.

Wire Wrapped Dichroic Pendant (Not Currently Scheduled)
Great for all ages. Wire wrap a fused glass cabochon using colorful Artistic wire. Glass dichroic cabochon, wire and cord to complete your pendant are provided. Minimum 4 students, maximum 8 students.

Fused Glass Holiday Plate (Not Currently Scheduled)
Learn the basics of fusing using glass frits and liquid stringer to decorate this easy to make fused glass plate. Choose from a number of designs to create a one-of-a-kind 10 inch plate for display or functional use.

Fused Glass Tile (Not Currently Scheduled)
Create two 4” tiles in this fusing workshop. Learn the basics of fusing including kiln operation, glass compatibility and fusing cycles. Play with glass frit, stringers, iridized and dichroic glass. Intermediate Fused Bowl/Plates (Not Currently Scheduled)
Learn new techniques for fusing and slumping. In this class you will design a bowl or plate by experimenting with a variety of techniques. You will also learn how to cold work your piece to give it a professional look. Skill

Vitrograph Demo (Not Currently Scheduled)
What do you do with all the fusible glass scrap? We'll show you how to setup a vitrograph kiln to make your own unique stringers to use as embelishments with your fused glass art.

Intermediate Fused Jewelry (Not Currently Scheduled)
Learn a creative and fun way to make use of your scrap glass to create unique jewelry styles and pieces. This style of fusing allows you to make one of a kind pieces with a professional look. Each student will create a 4x4 slab and a 1x7 slab during class time. Each student will then make an appointment to come back during the next week to cut them into shapes using our diamond-bladed ring saw. We will then fire polish your cut pieces. Prior fusing experience required. Minimum 4 students, maximum 8 students.

Fused Picture Frame (Kid Friendly! - Great for Mother's Day gift! ) (Not Currently Scheduled)
Here’s another project to help you complete your gift list. Make a beautiful fused glass picture frame using frit, stringers, and fusible glass. Materials included. No glass cutting skills required.

Fused Jewelry Box (Not Currently Scheduled)
Assemble a stunning fused glass tile insert for a jewelry box. You bring the creative ideas, we’ll do the fusing. Jewelry box and glass are included in the class fee. Please bring glass cutting tools.

Fused Dichroic Jewelry & Wire Wrapping
This class is a hands-on exploration of dichroic glass and how to make fused cabochons for jewelry applications. Learn the equipment, techniques and materials for fusing dichroic glass cabochons. After you've made your glass cabochons, we will show you how to wire wrap one to create a beautiful pendant. Required tools: wire wrapping tools (available for purchase at United Art Glass the day of class). Minimum 4 students, maximum 8 students.

Fused Garden Stake
Design a 13" round decorative fused glass insert using Glassline paints, glass frits, stringers, and glass shapes made using a vitrograph. The fused piece will then be installed in a decorative garden stake. Come with ideas or we will have designs for you to choose from. We will fire the glass insert and it will be available for pickup one week after class. Please bring cutting tools.

Pate de Verre Bracelet or Paperweight (Not Currently Scheduled)
In this hands on class your will learn the simple way to cast glass molds using glass powders and frits. Choose from a variety of reusable molds to make a 3-dimensional bracelet or glass piece. Pieces will be fired after class and available for pickup one week after class. No tools required.

Fused Bead Bracelet (Not Currently Scheduled)
Learn to make a simple yet stunning bracelet using fused glass beads and seed beads.

Fused Glass Wind Chime
Brighten your garden with a uniquely beautiful fused glass wind chime. We provided a pattern to cut, assemble and fuse the individual chime pieces to create a beautiful customwind chime! Glass cutting skills are required.

Keepsake Plate (Not Currently Scheduled)
Freeze time by capturing a special memory of your child's handprint in glass that will be cherished by parents and grandparents alike. Children will love getting their hands messy and decorating their 8" plate and we will always be on hand to clean up the mess! Plates will be available for pickup one week after class.

Fused Cuff Bracelets and Kiln-Formed Watches (Not Currently Scheduled)
You all have been asking for it, so here it is. Learn how to make designer curved glass cuff bracelets and watch bands using your kiln. In this class you will design, fire & slump your cuff bracelet plus learn finishing and wiring techniques to compliment and complete a watch. Minimum 3 students, maximum 6 students.

Fritography with Michael Dupille (Not Currently Scheduled)
The painterly use of crushed glass frits and powders has opened up a whole new world of artistic imagery. Anything is possible when working with small particles of glass from tight, photo-realism to loose impressionism. Working in the panel format, you will learn how to control color density, shading, soft and hard edge lines and some unique specialty looks. This three day class will focus on the principles of multiple firings to create a rich, vibrant panel piece. There will be greater understanding of the process and how to create a palette. Just imagine how you can expand these techniques to creating unbelievable wall pieces, tiles and continuous murals. As one of the early kiln working artists, Michael has pioneered this and many other glass working processes. His dynamite slide show will inspire as well as educate. Guest Artist Michael Dupille – When Classes Collide…
This workshop combines two different kiln forming processes; Fritography and Casting with Castalot to create unique images as bas relief.  Students will make mold slabs and carve them with relief imagery.  Then a Fritography piece (colored frit image) is made to compliment the relief mold.  Fired together the result is a dimensional work of art with two images.  Castalot is a reusable glass mold material that can be fired to casting temps at least 7 to 10 times and slumping temps indefinitely.  This class is an info-packed glass fest!

Michael is an internationally renowned glass artist from Seattle, WA, with 35 years experience in the field.  He is considered a pioneer in the area of kiln formed glass and has a friendly, informative teaching style.  He has developed many of the working techniques used by today’s kiln formed glass artists.  He also has a killer slide show not to be missed!

Beginning Fusing for Kids (Not Currently Scheduled)
This is the perfect class to get kids interested in stained glass as an art medium by making a beautiful tile or trivet. Pre-cut fragments, stringers, and glass frit will be used as design elements. Class fee includes most materials. Fused art work will be available for pick up one week after class.

Kid Friendly Class - Fused Holiday Glass Plate (Not Currently Scheduled)
Moms and Dads, give yourself a break and let the kids make a striking fused holiday glass plate to give as a gift to the grandparents (or for you, but we're not telling). No glass cutting will be done in the class and all materials are included. For ages 8 and older. Gluing skills are required! Pates will be available one week after class.

Join us for a Girl’s Night (or Guy’s Night) out to design your own glass votive holder. No glass cutting experience is required. We have lots of examples to motivate the artist in you.

Perfect Plaid Night (Not Currently Scheduled)
Make a Perfect Plaid 6” or 8” trivet, sushi plate or candle tray. A brief orientation will get you started in designing your own perfectly plaid project. No glass cutting experience is required. Your artwork will be ready for pick up approximately one week after class.

Basket Weave with Glass (Not Currently Scheduled)
Assemble an 8-inch, 10-inch or 12-inch decorative platter that magically looks like woven glass when fused together. We start with a brief orientation on how to build the platter, you select the colors and assemble and we fuse it for you. Your platter will be ready for pick up approximately one week after class.

Decorative Wall Tile (Not Currently Scheduled)
Design a 6"x6" decorative wall tile using Glassline paints, glass frits, stringers, glass shapes made using a vitrigraph and liquid stringer. This tile can be used as a focal point for a backsplash or just an accent piece displayed on a stand. Come with ideas or we will have ideas for you to choose from. Please bring cutting tools.

Fusing Fundamentals
Have you been admiring kiln-formed glass? If you haven’t tried the technique before, this class is for you. In this workshop you will learn basic kiln operation, elementary fusing terms, pattern layout and much more. Each student makes one project and leaves class with a level of knowledge that will enable them to fuse on their own. Class Fee includes most materials. Minimum 4 students, maximum 8 students. Please bring your glass cutting tools.

Open Shop Time
Work on your project, at your own pace, in our workshop! You can use our grinders and instructors are available for questions. Please call to reserve your space and bring your tools.

Open Fusing Studio
If you have been curious about the glass fusing movement, wait no longer.  Glass art projects from functional to frivolous can now be created by hobbyists in our Glass Fusing Center.  Assemble original designs using pre-cut components from a comprehensive display.  All tools are provided and no glass cutting experience is necessary.  We handle the kiln-firing, turning the assembled designs into trivets, coasters, bowls, votives, or platters.  The endless combinations of design and shape make every project a unique work of art.  It usually takes 1 ½ to 2 hours to complete your first piece.  The best part is the projects start at just $10.

Stained Glass Workshop (Not Currently Scheduled)
Not sure if Stained Glass is for you? Come join us for this fun and exciting journey into stained glass before you invest in the tools. Use our tools to complete one small stained glass panel while learning skills that will get you hooked on stained glass forever! Minimum 4 students, maximum 8 students.

Fused Tabletop Lamp
Create a 12" tabletop lamp made of two main fused glass components - the lamp lens and the lamp base. In the forst class, you will construct the lamp lens. It will be fired and slumped before the second class. In the second class, you will build the lamp base which will be fused before class three. In the final class, you will assemble the fused lamp components and add the electrical wiring to complete your fused tabletop lamp. Minimum 4 students, maximum 8 students.

Glass Cutting Seminar (Not Currently Scheduled)
Learn to cut glass or improve your techniques for cutting difficult shapes on a variety of glass types. In this class you will also have the opportunity to test run the Cutter’s Mate, Beetle Bits Glass cutting system, and Circle Pro Cutter. Please bring glass cutting tools.

Introduction to Glass Beadmaking (Not Currently Scheduled)
Learn how to manipulate colored glass rods in a torch flame to create beautiful glass beads. This 4 hour workshop gives you an introduction to working with the Hot Head torch and the techniques to make and decorate basic beads. The bead kit included with the class provides all of the tools you need to start making beads immediately. Please bring two cans of MAPP gas to this class (can be purchased at any hardware store).

Intermediate Glass Beadmaking (Not Currently Scheduled)
Take your beadmaking to the next level. In this workshop you will learn tips and tricks to making sculptural beads. You’ll have an opportunity to try out a minor torch using propane & oxygen – you’ll be amazed at how fast (and quietly) you can make a bead! Students will need to bring their Hot Head Torch, bead tools, glass rods and MAPP gas.

Soldering Seminar (Not Currently Scheduled)
Learn to solder like a professional! This is a hands-on class that will help you improve your soldering skills and your ability to draw a smoother solder bead. Bring soldering tools along with a small foiled project that is ready for soldering. Minimum 4 students, maximum 8 students.

Wire Wrapped Watch (Not Currently Scheduled)
In this class you will learn finishing and wiring techniques to compliment and complete a watch design using a fired and slumped watch band provided in the class (firing techniques will be discussed). Class fee includes one set of dichroic watch bands (to make one watch), toggle, clasp, and wire. Bring a watch face (with a spring bar, not a loop type for beaded watches) or you can purchase one the day of the class for $25.

Glass Handprint (Not Currently Scheduled)
Create a memory of your child’s hand print in glass! Make an 8” square or 8” round wall hanging or plate.  All materials are included in the price.  Projects will be ready before Good Friday making this a great gift for Easter.

Beginner Stained Glass - Foil Method
